Reviewed by Alex Masri Patrick, a Traveler from Third Earth, wakes up one morning to find the clean Earth he once called home has turned it to a corrupt, communist world full of confusion and disorder. Mark and Courtney are on a mission to destroy KEM, the technology company that they sold dados, or evil human-like robots to. Needless to say, this book is quite imaginable, and is a series equal, if not surpassing, the greats (think Tolkien). //Raven Rise//, book nine of the Pendragon series, and although quite hefty, gives fans a chance yet another book they can polish off in one day.
This book is timeless (quite literally). Meanwhile, Bobby Pendragon is still trapped on Ibara, having collapsed the flumes in order to seal him and Saint Dane inside. It truly is one of the most superb yet. Enter the world between worlds,and time between times--the novel where you can travel where you've never dreamed of before. Saint Dane's goal to rule Halla and all of the Earths has grown stronger than ever, and the pivotal moment of the Convergence has started to override all that Mark, Bobby, and Courtney (Travelers from Second Earth) have ever known.
All the while, Saint Dane and his helper Nevva Winters have been plotting to dig out the flume and continue with their mission of world(s) domination.
Jason The adventures the travelers have in raven rise will blow your mind. You will be amazed about how interesting 600 pages can be. I am only 150 pages into it and i cant put it down. Believe me buying this book will be the best thing you ever did.
He read this book with every spare second of his day. My son has read all of them. He loves the entire series and this was no exception.
i mean iknow at the end they kiss and all. For one thing what is happening between bobby and loor. IT mAkes m3e want to know more This book was exceptional. the only thing was the there is still so many questions i have about the series. but that was confusing.
So, here I sit impatiently waiting for May 12, 2009. I hope this final book is the bridge to all of my questions giving "us" loyal readers the final answers in Pendragon: The Soldiers of Hala. Has Bobby really lost these battles or are these lessons he must learn to ultimately defeat the evil that threatens our world as we know it. Can hardly wait for May 12, 2009 to finally get to the ending of this journey. Will Bobby and good win over Saint Dane or will evil prevail. May 12, 2009 is half a year away.
Raven Rise is a must read for everyone who has followed Bobby and his team through out this journey which began eight years ago. Raven Rise, just like the eight stories preceding it, answers many questions, but then again creates even more. Bobby starts out as a gullible, naive kid and grows into a young man with the responsibility for the future of his world and the worlds of other on his young and inexperienced shoulders. We have lost a lot of travelers, our friends throughout this journey, but as Bobby's uncle told him, "We will all meet again." Will this happen in book 10 The Soldiers of Hala. I accidently stumbled on The Merchant of Death and was instantly hooked. This has been quite an adventure.
I could not put the book down and immediately waited for the next installment of this incredible journey. I want to know NOW.
